Velo Pro Cyclery believes that bike shops provide essential services during the COVID-19 crisis. Therefore, we plan to stay open while limiting exposure. Many people use their bikes for transportation, and outdoor exercise is important in times like these. Cycling has both physical and mental benefits. With the safety guidelines listed below, we believe that getting outside and riding a bike will help get you through these trying times.
We remind our customers to follow safety guidelines: observe social distancing by maintaining at least a six feet separation to others, try riding solo rather than in groups, avoid drafting in the slipstream of other riders at any distance, and find areas to ride away from crowded trails.
BIKES AND ACCESSORIES
We are conducting sales outside our front doors (and front patio at our Santa Barbara store). We can take orders online and over the phone and have them bagged and ready for pickup with touchless credit card payment. Because of the difficulty with disinfecting, we are not allowing clothing, gloves or shoes to be tried on prior to purchase. However, we continue to accept returns and offer exchanges. Helmets are okay to try on (safety first!). All items are disinfected before and after they are brought out.
Smaller repairs, depending on how busy we are, can usually be completed while you wait. However, we cannot take appointments or promise timelines for longer repairs. Due to the current backlog, and with reduced staffing, we are focusing on the most urgent repairs on a first-come first-serve basis. We hate to turn away any customers, but we are unable to take all repairs at this time. Call us first to see if we can fit you in.Because we may be short-staffed, we certainly appreciate your patience. Things may change during these difficult times. We hope for the better.
